The project also included energy performance training for boiler operators, safety briefings, emissions monitoring, and periodic fuel quality checks.
Within the first 90 days, the factory recorded a 32% reduction in fuel costs, improved consistency in steam generation, and a significant reduction in harmful emissions.
This project has become a reference model for sustainable energy adoption in Kenya’s tea sector.
